Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 August 2026

Chaos Clubhouse ("the app", "we", "us") is a family routine board that helps families organise daily routines, calendars, meals and rewards. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Google Calendar access

If you choose to connect a Google account, the app requests access to view and edit events on your Google Calendar (the calendar.events scope) and your email address. We use this access solely to keep your family board and your Google Calendar in step:

Your email address is used only to show which Google account is connected. Access tokens are stored encrypted on our server and are never shared with third parties or exposed to the browser. We do not use your Google Calendar data for advertising or any unrelated purpose.

Chaos Clubhouse's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can disconnect Google at any time from Parent Settings → Calendars. Disconnecting removes the stored connection and the calendar events synced from it.

Apple iCloud Calendar access

If you choose to connect an iCloud calendar, you sign in with your Apple ID email address and an app-specific password that you create at appleid.apple.com. We never ask for, and cannot see, your main Apple ID password. We use this access solely to keep your family board and your iCloud calendar in step:

Your Apple ID email address is used only to show which account is connected. The app-specific password is stored encrypted on our server and is never shared with third parties or exposed to the browser. We do not use your iCloud calendar data for advertising or any unrelated purpose.

You can disconnect iCloud at any time from Parent Settings → Calendars. Disconnecting deletes the stored credentials and removes the calendar events synced from it. Because Apple does not let apps revoke an app-specific password remotely, we recommend you also delete the password yourself at appleid.apple.com (Sign-In and Security → App-Specific Passwords) after disconnecting.

How we use your information

How your information is stored and protected

Your data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (Supabase) and is access-controlled so that each family can only see its own data. Access tokens and app-specific passwords for connected services are encrypted at rest. We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except the service providers that host and run the app on our behalf (for example, our database and hosting providers), the email marketing provider described below (only if you have opted in), or where required by law.

Marketing emails

If you opt in — using the checkbox at sign-up or the "Marketing emails" toggle in Parent Settings → Account — we will occasionally send you emails with tips and updates about the app. To do this, we share your email address, name, sign-up date and subscription status with HubSpot, the platform we use to send these emails.

Children's information

The app is designed for parents and carers to manage routines for their children, including children with additional needs. Child profiles are created and controlled by the responsible adult who owns the family account. The app is intended to be set up and managed by an adult, not used independently by children to create accounts.

Your choices and rights

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your personal data except where we are required to keep it by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be made clear within the app where appropriate.
